Everyone could do with some encouragement from time to time. These are verses from different parts of the Word of God that will remind you why you should have hope. We pray they renew your faith and strengthen you as you read.
I. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18
II. No weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17
III. In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength. Isaiah 30:15
IV. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
V. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that you may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10
VI. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you. Isaiah 41:10
VII. The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or His ear dull, that it cannot hear. Isaiah 59:1
VIII. The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9
IX. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Psalm 23:4
X. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14
XI. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
XII. Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
XIII. The Lord is near to the broken-hearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
XIV. As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear Him. Psalm 103:13
XV. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7
XVI. I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
XVII. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33
XIII. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
XIX. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:29
XX. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. Psalm 43:5
XXI. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
XXII. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
XXIII. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. Psalm 121:5
XXIV. Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. Psalm 50:15
XXV. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes with the morning. Psalm 30:5
XXVI. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
